Prince Harry Was Emotional As His Honorary Military Ranks Were Taken Away After He Stepped Back From His Royal Duties With Meghan Markle?
Latest reports suggest that the former Duke of Sussex Prince Harry was very emotional after get got stripped off his honorary military ranks post his exit from royal duties.
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding captured everyone's attention, their exit from royal duties captured an equal amount of attention. The former Duke and Duchess of Sussex ruled headlines after they decided to give up on their royal duties and start afresh by being financially independent. They first moved to Canada after distancing themselves from the royal family and then they shifted to Los Angeles with their baby boy Archie. Well, it's almost a year since their move and it has now been reported that Prince Harry was very emotional when his military ranks were taken away.
Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand in their book titled Finding Freedom, mentioned that Prince Harry was emotional and found it demoralising that his ranks were taken away. The writers wrote, "If his grandmother’s validation of his experiences served as encouragement, the most demoralising aspect of the new deal was his being stripped of his honorary military appointments that had been awarded to him as a senior royal," as reported by Marie Claire UK.
Due to his exit from Royal Duties, Prince Harry reportedly cannot wear his uniform. The book mentioned, "Captain General of the Royal Marines, Honorary Air Force Commandant of the Royal Air Force Bas Honington, and honorary Commodore-in-Chief of the Royal Navy’s Small Ships and Diving Operations. These roles had come to an end," as reported.
The writers also mentioned that Meghan Markle confided in a friend about Harry feeling emotional and also stated that the move to take away his military ranks 'so unnecessary'.
